Around the back side of the house was a 2.5 mile hike that led down the hill into a park in Northwest Portland. The hike was stunning. I tried to capture the beauty of the trail, but the pictures don't give it justice.
This stone structure was built as a WPA project in the 1930's. It served as a restroom until the late 60's when due to lack of funding was put out of order. Too bad they don't make restrooms like this anymore.
So what do you think, should we buy the place?

Wow, that is an amazing place. The only problem about buying a place that size is that you'd have to have a ton of kids or a huge daycare to fill it up. It sure looks beautiful. Does someone still live there? It looks like a beautiful setting.
What?! No inside pics??? Amazing!! That looks like a sweet house!
The pics from inside the house will be posted next week.
I think it is totally you! You could host all of the family reunions, plus your couple dozen children...granted I would get someone else to clean it! :) I would also take turns living in different parts of the house, so I wouldn't get tired of the same stuff...adventure! So when is the open house? We love parties! :) I also love the scenery!
I vote for the family reunions here....when you buy it!
Great post....."don't dump it"....I'd keep it!
Hee, hee!
