We received this email in Trace's school inbox today:
"You were selected as this year’s first Willamette Dental Foundation Scholarship junior student recipient. A more formal letter will follow. $10,000 will be awarded to your account in the spring thereby reducing the amount you are receiving in the form of loans."
So we haven't heard about the $500 scholarship but we'll accept $10,000. Woohooo!
Great job Trace!

Yeah Baby!!! I love that kind of mail! Once we received a letter stating something about getting money, and I thought it was too good to be true, so I had to call the school to find out. Then the lady wouldn't give me the info b/c I wasn't Aaron! In the end it was a grant of some kind and not a loan, so we celebrated and counted our blessings!!! Congratulations!!!
Wahoooo! You are so blessed! I think this is GREAT news! Congratulations!!!!!!!
I am pretty impressed.
I'd love to be a $10,000aire! Now I can say I am related to one. I believe that a lot of the credit should be shared with your awesome wife...she must have said all the right things about you. It is impressive that they chose YOU to award that healthy amount of money! I would vote for you to be tops in any contest (but I am your MOM). It is just so good to see other people appreciate what a deserving person and hard worker you are.
BIG TIME CONGRATS!
Well you're right mom. Erica pretty much did everything for me. She is amazing, and I love her!
OMG!!! That is awesome! Congrats! That is the kind of mail we all enjoy opening!
On a more personal note: When will you be moving to Utah for some free dental care? hint hint!! I also need some teeth whitening gel. :)
Congrats. That's pretty much the coolest email you could ever get...i wish we could get one of those...i guess even harder now that we're both done with school
Congrats!! Now that you have some extra cash, come visit ME:) That is so fun. and hopefully you can get the $500 too:) Way to go!
Score!! I think I need to have Erica write my scholarship applications!! Congrats that is way awesome!
WHOA!! I didn't know that they had scholarships that big! I am so proud of you...you must be super smart...can I tell everyone that you took my share of the smarts and get a cut of the scholarship for being generous? just kiddin'! Way to work hard! By the way, did you get to show a boy by the name of Dan Adair around a couple of weeks ago? He is from Sugar but his parents are from Burns. They are in my ward and I was saying something and she said he had been there...I haven't talked to him yet. Nice kid, but her is going to go the Michigan or something. Have a great day.
Love
TARA
