Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving morning we went over to the west side of the island and went snorkeling for a few hours. The weather was warm and it was a beyond beautiful day. We ate Thanksgiving dinner later that day with 3 other couples in our ward, which meant I didn't have to cook the turkey or rolls! Woohoo! I tried my first and probably last black Friday shopping experience at midnight with Trace and some friends. Walmart line was wrapped around the building (we weren't willing to wait in that line). So we stopped at the mall.
The tunnel to enter the Diamond Head Crater.
The next day Trace and I hiked Diamond head. It's a crater at the end of Waikiki, you start at the center of the crater and hike to the top for some excellent views. Later that evening we settled down in some chairs to watch the Honolulu Thanksgiving Parade.  Weird, yet pleasant, to watch marching bands and listen to Christmas music in 80 degree weather.
