Seven Sacred pools

A few weekends ago we got out of the house at 9:30 on the road for a 3-hour drive passed Hana to the Pools of ‘Ohe’o or Seven Sacred Pools. Thank you for sleeping for most of the drive Estelle!

We hiked the Pipiwai Trail "which passes stunning vistas, pools, waterfalls (including the 200′ Makahiku Falls), jungle, a bamboo forest, culminating at the base of the 400′ high Waimoku Falls."
Maui Guidebook

Afterwards we ventured down into one of the pools and swam around one of the many waterfalls. Estelle was jumping out of my arms to get in but screaming to get out after her body touched the water. I guess she wasn't expecting it to be cold.

On our 3-hour drive home we stopped and got some "Voted Best" banana bread. It was ok but it did fill our hungry stomachs. Thank you Trace for entertaining Estelle for the 3-hour drive home.

This stop is a must if you plan to visit Maui. I'd consider staying a night in Hana so you could spend more time on the drive and other Hana activities.
