Halloween is the best holiday of the year. I put up decorations in September this year.
Monday: Wore part of the costume to school
Wednesday: Wore full costume to OMSI and won tickets to haunted house
Friday: Dressed up and went to Trunk or Treat at the church, then Frightmare Haunted House.
Saturday: Dressed up again and attended a Halloween party at a friend's house.
At the Trunk or Treat church party we put the back seats down so Trace could hide in the car. We used a big black sheet to cover the inside of the truck and set up a graveyard scene with a bowl of candy. Trace's hand was wrapped in blood stained bandage to fit the scene. I would give Trace the clue ("Grab a Butterfingers") and he would grab the hand in the candy bowl. The kids thought it was pretty scary and then pretty funny after the initial shock.
Trace was Captain America and I was Wonder Woman. In our attempt to find the haunted house we stopped at Wendy's to ask for directions. A 3-year-old girl looks up at Trace wide-eyed and says, "A super hero." I walked in a few minutes later, "Another super hero." She walked up to us awestruck rattling off her life story. For a brief moment in time we really felt like super heroes.

What fun! You two crazy people. I love the story of the little girl and the bloody hand that grabbed the bigger kids!

Awesome costume!!
How do you guys come up with such awesome costumes??? I must be pretty dull b/c I can never come up with any cool ideas...my poor kids have to rummage through our dress-up box and figure something out! Did you get any pics from the trunk or treat...that would have spooked me! Glad you are having such fun!
