So we found out a few things last week at the 18w2d ultrasound.
She (yep it's girl) is a fighter. She's already prepping with her dukes up.
But she's been trained to be polite and crosses at the ankles.
She's got five fingers,
And five toes,
Two lips and a nose.
And she may be thumb sucker, but I'm pretty sure she already has her dad wrapped around her little finger.
As we were waiting for the ultrasound tech Trace asked me one last time if I thought it was going to be a girl or boy. The doctor had already guessed a girl at the 12 week ultrasound but this week was going to confirm the suspicion. Some women say they "just knew" or they could tell by how they were carrying it. Well I'm here to say I had no feeling either way, and actually no preference. Trace had already guessed long before that it was a girl. So I asked him what he would think if it was a boy. You should have seen his face as he considered having a boy. He looked like he would actually be disappointed. Funny. But the ultrasound looked pretty convincing that we are having a girl.
We are headed off to Big Island tomorrow (yep here they call it Big Island, not The Big Island). Trace and I had plans to visit all the islands while we were here and get scuba certified. But I wasn't working the first couple of months and our savings were slowing being depleted. I decided to get a job to pay for scuba diving and some little trips to the neighboring islands. Just a little over a month of working, I find out I'm pregnant and scuba diving is removed from my list of activities. So we've made plans to see Big Island this week, Lanai is 3 weeks, and Maui in 5 weeks. I know you CAN travel with a child but it's hard to go snorkeling together and leave your infant unattended on the beach. So we are getting the islands in now before the baby comes and before I start to waddle.
Love you all. Enjoy the photos :)
